Library Unit was formerly a one man office . But as a result of the mounting demands and pressures of the office as the information store house of IVCU, among other things, members were included and Library Unit was born. This unit can be described as one in charge of information that pertains to the house. We contribute greatly to the building up of the house. “From whom the whole body joined together by every joint with which it is equipped when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”( Ephesians 4:16 ESV) Going to specifics, one might wonder what role exactly the library unit plays in the spiritual growth of members in IVCU. We function in quite a number of ways;
It is important to note at this juncture, that books are lent to brethren at the Library Stand close to the main entrance of Chapel Auditorium. CDs and DVDs of messages are available for sale there as well. Soft copies of recordings, documents, songs, movies, etc can be gotten from us at the Mellamby wing of Chapel Auditorium, all at the end of each service.
We hold our unit meetings as a family, by 6pm on Tuesdays at the Chapel Hall. This is a time when all members meet to pray, study God’s word and discuss; basically an opportunity to fellowship with one another. We also meet by 1:40pm on Sundays and by 7:10pm on Wednesdays in order to set up (for recording and display of books) before service. We heartily welcome all members of the house interested in being a part of this family. Anyone who is led by God, willing, and has completed his or her Basic Bible Class is free to join us.
IVCU Library Unit is at the service of everyone nursing a deep and sincere thirst for God and who truly desires to have a fulfilling walk with God. For we make available the necessary tools to increase your knowledge of God’s word which is God’s revelation of himself.
But grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory (honour, majesty, splendor) both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
